Drain Jetting

Hydro jetting

What is hydro jetting?

Hydro Jetting is a non-invasive plumbing solution that clears pipes by removing blockages effectively. It involves the use of high-pressure water jets, which can remove debris, clogs, and buildup from the plumbing system.

When Is Hydro Jetting Required?

Grease and fat from your food that gets sent down the drain can cause super-clogs over time. An accumulation of sticky goo along the inside of your drain pipes traps hair and other solids, restricting the flow of wastewater; eventually leading to a complete blockage. The water jet is almost always used in larger pipes found in commercial, municipal, or industrial plumbing. The water jetter is also the best option in all-size pipes with a dipped pipe blockage. Bellied pipes usually have heavy sludge or grease build up in the pipe over time and a drain snaking won’t open the drain. The water-jet can be used with all types of nozzles to cut through grease, soap, or tree root blockages in drain pipes. The jetter also is the best choice for silt or sand and leaves in a pipe because the high-pressure water jet can flush out all of the debris. For this reason, hydro jetting is almost always used to clean storm catch basin drains.

The determination of the best solution to address your particular clog is best left up to the experts at Drain Jetters R Us. Once we arrive at your home or business, our service technician will inspect the pipe to determine the exact nature of the blockage. Some of the equipment frequently used includes video cameras that can travel through the pipes to the site of the blockage, allowing us to visually determine exactly what is going on.

Hydro Jetting

What is hot water hydro jetting?

  • Hot Water Hydro-Jet Hydro-jetting is the method in which hot high pressure water is sent through specialty nozzles to restore your drain pipes close to their original capacity depending on age and condition. The hot high-pressure water will cut roots as well as lift and remove grease.  The hot water which gets heated to a temperature of 140 degrees, liquifies the grease.
  • High pressure water scrubs the entire inside and the film off the sides of the pipes giving the pipes a deep clean.   With hydro jetting, pipes stay cleaner longer but with less mess rather than just moving the build up around.  Hydro scrubbing fully flushes out the cause of the clog or blockage.  We run the right equipment to give the best job!
